Separate sealed bids will be received by the Clarke County Board of Supervisors in the boardroom at the Clarke County Courthouse, Quitman, Mississippi, until 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, for the construction of a County Road Pavement Marking Project of approximately 29.661 Miles of County Roads named “A” thru “F”, also known as Engineer's Project No. CCBS-104-25. Bids will be opened in public and read aloud.

The Plans, Specifications, and Contract documents are on file and can be viewed and obtained online via the website of the County Engineer, Lawrence R. Clark, P.E. at www.clarkengineersprojects.com. By use of the website the plan holders shall have the option of obtaining hard copy of the Plans and Specifications and/or shall have the opportunity to submit an official bid online.

All hard copy proposals shall be directed to the attention of The Clarke County Board of Supervisors with the outside of the envelope marked “CCBS-104-25 Bid Proposal Pavement Marking Project”. Contractor shall indicate certificate of responsibility number on the outside of the envelope. Online bids shall be accepted and opened as instructed on the website.

Basis of Award: The award, if made, will be to the lowest and best qualified bidder. The Board intends to accept the lowest and best bid and reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids.

Total Contract Time as Advertised: 20 Working Days

The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that, in any contract entered pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.

Certified Check or Bid Bond for five percent (5%) of total bid payable to Clarke County must accompany each proposal.

Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letter qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid, and such proposals will not be considered in making the award.
