1.02 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A. Summary Project Description: A new 6,584 SF Justice Center that includes a 1,603 SF Court Room with a 542 SF Waiting Area surrounded by 4,260 SF of business and operations areas. The building will be wood frame construction with a metal roof. Exterior wall finishes will include a manufactured stone wainscot with fiber cement panels above. The Court Room will have to be separated by a 2-hour fire wall since fire protection will not be provided.
Occupancy will be Mixed Use with Assembly and Business occupancies. Associated site work is also included.
B. Contract Scope: New Construction.
C. Contract Terms: Lump sum (fixed price, stipulated sum).
1.04 PROCUREMENT TIMETABLE
A. Pre-Bid Site Tour: 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 31, 2025. Meet at Board Room of the Courthouse,1008 Battleground Drive, Iuka, MS 38852.
B. Bid Due Date: August 12, 2025,, before 4:00 PM local time; via mail, hand-deliver or electronic.
C. Notice of Award: Within 10 days after due date.
D. Bids May Not Be Withdrawn Until: 30 days after due date.
E. Contract Time: 300 calendar days.
1. Days incomplete after Final Completion shall be subject to Liquidated Damages of $250/calendar day.
F. Anticipated Construction Start: Not later than 7 calendar days after Notice to Proceed.
G. Final Completion must be completed within 30 calendar days after Substantial Completion.
H. The Owner reserves the right to change the schedule or terminate the entire procurement process at any time.

A. Availability of Documents: Complete sets of procurement documents may be obtained:

1.06 BID SECURITY IS REQUIRED.
A. Bids shall be accompanied by a security deposit as follows:
