SEALED proposals will be received by The City of Fayette at the office of the Engineer, Heflin Engineering, LLC, 1700 West Government Street, Building āAā, Suite āJā, Brandon, Mississippi or electronic bids submitted via www.heflinengineeringbids.com until 10:00 A M, local time, August 1, 2025, at which time and place, the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bids received after the closing time will be returned unopened.
The work shall consist of the repairs, rehabilitation, and replacement of sanitary sewers and rehabilitation of wastewater lagoons.
Copies of the Plans, Specifications, and other Bidding Documents are available for download or in hard copy format from www.heflinengineeringbids.com or for public viewing at the office of the Engineer, Heflin Engineering, LLC, 1700 West Government Street, Building "A", Suite "J", Brandon, Mississippi, (P. O. Box 47, Brandon, Mississippi 39043- 0047). Documents must be obtained through the website and such costs are nonrefundable.

Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, certified check or cashier's check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be furnished by each Bidder as required by the Contract Documents.
The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended 12 U.S.C. 1701u (Section 3). CDBG regulations governing the grant require that, to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for contracting, subcontracting, training and employment arising in connection with this CDBG project will be extended to Section 3 businesses and Section 3 residents.
Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs.

The City of Fayette reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any and all informalities, and reserves the right to hold all Bids for examination for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days and to award the Contract to the lowest and best Bid complying with the Plans and Specifications within said time.
