Notice is hereby given that the Harrison County Board of Supervisors, Mississippi, will receive sealed and electronic bids at the Emergency Management Conference Room in the First Judicial District Courthouse in Gulfport, Mississippi,
until 10:00 A.M. local time on July 29, 2025 for the following:
HARRISON COUNTY COURTHOUSE PARKING STRUCTURE REHABILITATION PROJECT
GULFPORT, MS
Bid Documents are being made available via digital copy by the website of www.harrisoncountybids.com . At this site, plans and specifications can be viewed at no charge and hardy copy or electronic documents can be obtained at the bidder’s expense. All Prospective Bidders and Plan Holders must have a valid email address for registration. Purchased bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. A view only copy of the plans, specifications, and proposal documents are also available at the office of Simpkins & Costelli, Inc., 401-32 ½ St., Gulfport, MS 39507, and may be examined during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday). The Simpkins & Costelli, Inc. Project Manager is Maddie Pettry and can be contacted at the listed address or maddie@simpkins-costelli.com or phone number (228) 864-6289 regarding the project.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted on July 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. local time at the Emergency Management Conference Room in the First Judicial District Courthouse in Gulfport, Mississippi. ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
All Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to the order of The Harrison County Board of Supervisors, Mississippi, negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, must be submitted in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid.
All Bids submitted in excess of $50,000.00 by a prime contractor or subcontractor must comply with Section 31-3-21, Mississippi Code of 1972, by having a current Certificate of Responsibility from the State Board of Public Contractors.
Bidders shall be advised that in accordance with the Mississippi Code, Harrison County has forty-five (45) calendar days to deliver a warrant to the vendor from the date an application for payment is determined to be due and payable under the terms and conditions of the contract.
Bids may be submitted in person at the Emergency Management Conference Room in the First Judicial District Courthouse in Gulfport, Mississippi or electronically at www.harrisoncountybids.com until 10:00 AM local time on July 29, 2025. Bids received after this time will not be accepted.
The Harrison County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to award said bid in the interest of the County. Bids will be held open for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract.
